The rehabilitation of roads worth Shs19.7b in Tororo Municipality under the second phase of the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development Programme (USMID) has kicked off.

Ugandan engineers under their registration body, Uganda Engineers Registration Board (ERB), have launched their five-year strategic plan aimed at positioning the profession at the centre of national development, writes ERNEST JJINGO.
The plan was launched during the celebration of the World Engineering Day on March 4, under the theme: “Engineering for a healthy planet”.
The day was proclaimed by UNESCO at its 40th general assembly in 2019 to present an opportunity for the world to celebrate the contribution of engineering to sustainable development.
