Isaac Adidi was enjoying an afternoon dip on Sunday at Vyces swimming hole with his partner Shawntain Manantan and cousin when the unseen predator approached. We swam for two hours and were getting ready to leave when Isaac got pulled under water. We thought he was just mucking around and didn t take him serious, Ms Manantan said.

The 22-year-old was about to get out of the water when the four-metre croc grabbed him from behind. Isaac Adidi and his friend Malik Cockatoo-Mueller were swimming in a waterhole in the coastal mining town of Weipa, northern Queensland, on Sunday when the crocodile struck. The northeastern state is known to have crocodiles in its waterways. Cockatoo-Mueller told 7News he thought nothing of it when Adidi went underwater. But he knew something was wrong when his friend re-emerged and started screaming.
