April 20, 2021 - 5:00 PM The strange odour that led to the evacuation of about 150 people from the Lakeview Pointe apartment complex in West Kelowna on Sunday may have been human caused. About 150 people, some with pets, were ordered out of the 60-unit apartment building on Sunday morning, April 18, because of the unidentified smell. West Kelowna Fire Rescue has since allowed the residents to return home. “Out of an abundance of caution, we will continue to look at surveillance footage and things of that nature to see if we can figure out what exactly transpired,” Lauren Clemens general council and director of corporate affairs for owner Ironclad Developments, told iNFONews.ca today, April 20.
