We open the show in conversation with the singer-songwriter Irish Mythen. She is originally from Ireland but calls Prince Edward Island home and has released a series of great folk albums, including 2019 s award-winning Little Bones. Irish talks about how she writes songs that are utterly compelling and she explains that while her song Little Bones might appear to be about Canadian residential schools, it is in fact about schools in Ireland that similarly negatively impacted individuals. We also talk about the powerful impact of her songs The Bravery and Let Them In. Irish shares how much she loves performing a solo artist and the connection she feels with her audience.
