Back at her preferred distance, Phil D’Amato’s Going Global was nothing short of brilliant in defending her title in Saturday’s $200,000 Goldikova Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita by 1 ½ lengths.
Not a bad day. Trainer Phil D’Amato notched three graded wins on Saturday two at Santa Anita and one at Keeneland, as well as one other stakes at the Arcadia, California track.
A 4-year-old filly and one of two Phil D’Amato entrants, Going Global, the defending Goldikova champ, is a perfect two for two at one mile over the Santa Anita turf and is five for six over the Arcadia lawn.
