Norman Taurogâs early 1952 Room for One More, isnât your normal big family film, and couldnât be
further afield from the likes of Yours, Mine and Ours, or The Brady Bunch.
It involves adoption, and while it generally handles the subject well, tugging repeatedly at the audienceâs heart-strings, it also has a bit of a strident side.
It was one of Cary Grantâs two 1952 releases, and one of only two feature films for Iris Mann, who moved from entertainment to a career in journalism.
