Sage Bagel & Deli in Hallandale Beach has closed abruptly after 47 years. Known for fresh bagels boiled and baked in house, Sage attracted legions of displaced New Yorkers since 1973. Owner Harvey Fuerst cited rising rent and operating costs for the shuttering.
