Father Ted star Rynagh O Grady dies suddenly aged 67 as tributes are paid to star s humour, integrity and patience
Rynagh was best known for her role as Craggy Island shop owner Mary O Leary in Father Ted from 1995-1998
Her death was announced in a statement by the Abbey Theatre
It read: We were deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of our beloved friend and colleague Rynagh O Grady. We are thinking of her family and all who loved her. Rynagh trained in the Abbey School of Acting and first appeared on our stages in 1969

IRISH STAGE AND screen actress Rynagh O’Grady has passed away, the Abbey Theatre has confirmed.
O’Grady trained in the Abbey School of Acting and first appeared on the stage of Ireland’s National Theatre in 1969.
The actor is perhaps best-known to wider audiences for her role as Mary O’Leary in Father Ted. She has also featured in films directed by Warren Beatty and Ron Howard.

Come From Away tells the remarkable and inspiring true story of 7,000 stranded air passengers during the wake of 9/11, and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but as uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
On 11th September 2001, the world stopped. On 12th September, their stories moved us all.
