Subscriber only A MAN bitten by a police dog was receiving treatment at Ipswich Hospital on Tuesday after he and three others were allegedly found in long grass following a break-in at a Woolworths supermarket. The cases against the four accused were mentioned at Ipswich Magistrates Court when two of them made bail applications. Jaymes Anthony Alistair Daly, 26, from Loganlea; Stevan Joshua Jeffery Munich, 28, from Springfield; Michael John Sullivan, 27, from Springfield; and William James Moore, 27, from Logan Central, are charged with one count each of break and enter at Woolworths in Collingwood Park on Monday, May 3; attempted break and enter at Woolworths in Fernvale on May 3; receiving tainted property (cigarettes and mobile phones); unlawful use of a motor vehicle; and obstructing police.

Subscriber only WHEN a neighbour s friendly chocolate brown labrador wandered into the yard, Daniel Myers decided he would claim it as his own. By coincidence, Myers was moving out of his rented house that day, and he took the dog with him. Several days later the worried owner was shown photographs posted on a social media site and recognised her missing dog. Police were contacted and when officers went to Myers new house the labrador was found there too, an Ipswich court heard this week. Going before Ipswich Magistrates Court for sentence Daniel John Myers, 32, of Raceview, pleaded guilty to stealing the labrador at Redbank Plains between January 8 and January 21.

WHEN a police patrol pulled over a vehicle just before 3am they did not count on getting some free legal advice from a tradie who had left an Ipswich hotel.
The tradesman told the police he âknew the Australian constitutionâ during a drunken tirade that resulted in him being arrested.
An Ipswich court heard that Dylan Hearps walked towards the police at the stopped car yelling, âstop those f ing c ts. Get those c ts.â
Prosecutor Sergeant Paul Caldwell said Hearps then ran towards the police calling out: âLeave them alone. They havenât done anything. Just leave them alone.â

Subscriber only A man was caught drink driving at more than three times the normal limit while subject to having an interlock device fitted to his car for previous offending. An Ipswich court heard Sukhdev Singh was pulled over at 1am on April 2 in Gatton, blowing 0.172. Sukhdev Singh, 29, from Gatton, pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court to driving under the influence of alcohol; and driving without an interlock device fitted. Prosecutor Sergeant Paul Caldwell said police intercepted Singh on Golf Links Drive. Checks revealed the driver was subject to a licence condition that he must have an ignition interlock device fitted from February 3, 2021 until February 2, 2023.
