IPO mobilisation climbed significantly by 76% in the first half of 2023–24, excluding LIC IPO that was launched last year.Retail investors showed greater enthusiasm, with the average number of applications increasing to 10.02 lakh, according to Prime Database Group s report.
Ideaforge topped the charts with a stupendous return of 93%, followed by Utkarsh Small Finance Bank at 92% and Netweb Technologies at 82%. The largest IPO in the first half was from Mankind Pharma (Rs 4,326 crore), followed by JSW Infrastructure (Rs 2,800 crore) and RR Kabel (Rs 1,964 crore)
According to Pranav Haldea, Managing Director, Prime Database Group, as many as 25 out of the 37 IPOs came in just three months of the year (May, November and December).
