Updated: 8:41 PM CDT Jul 14, 2021 KETV Staff Report We re getting our first look at the damage left behind as tornadoes reportedly ripped through Central Iowa. Here s a house that appears to be destroyed outside the community of Stanhope. The tornado hit around four o clock there.The Iowa State Patrol also reported a home having heavy damage near the community of Lake City in Calhoun County.Video from the Lake City area shows a tornado in its initial stages with very strong rotation on the ground as the storm begins to take shape. We re told the hospital in Lake City is running on generator power. Here s a look at another one of the tornadoes. This was recorded near the community of Jewell. There are reports of damage there as well, but it s still not clear how extensive it is.Billy Faletti also captured this photo as the storms rolled across Iowa.Stay tuned to KETV. com for more updates.
