Women. I went to graduate school not planning to do womens history but it was 1970 and the Womens Movement had begun to affect my life. Person to belucky in that first generation of grad students who had isolated wonderful mentors just beginning to do womens history. I assisted the first class in womens history at the university of michigan. The first year i was in grad school, i kept getting assigned the womens papers. About the wonderful, brilliant women.
