The Iowa State University Police Department discussed trends for timely warnings for Clery Act crimes and the crime statistic trends over recent years during the November Board of Regents meeting. ISUPD Chief Michael Newton gave the department’s annual report at the meeting and broke down statistics and trends the department noticed in 2022 from Clery.
In the Iowa State Daily on Sep. 14, Dean William Graves of the Graduate College wrote an op-ed in response to recent publications about Graduate Student Voices (GSV) and our efforts to bring a vote to unionize (Biong, 2023a; Biong, 2023b; GSV, 2023). The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) recently selected 45 students to headline their new group of ambassadors. These students will join about 40 to 45 existing members and will serve across six committees, ranging from youth organizations to new transfer students. “It’s more than just giving campus tours… they are going out into.
