Instead of a laundry list of proposals the president is expected to reflect on his two terms in the white house. Be wet with rain starting to move across the state by saturday night. On sunday, a strong storm system will pass through the midwest, bringing heavy rain to central and eastern iowa. An inch or rain will be possible, especially in eastern iowa where the highest totals will be possible. Temperatures will remain in the 40s to start next week, but will dip back into the 30s by this time next week. We begin tonight in Webster County where the courthouse is closed. But the government is still open. Vandals broke into the building early Tuesday Morning and damaged it with fire extinguishers. But a hectic 24 hours later the county is back open for business. Now it really feels like late octoberrrr those cold northwesterly winds have exceeded 40 mph at times and will continue to blow through the night at 1530 mph. That will means some pretty low wind chill values for this time of year. If you are heading out to watch some High School Football games, dress warm and maybe take a blanket or two because wind chills will be falling back into the 20s as the actual temps fall into the 30s. There will be some clearing over mainly southern iowa, but Northern Iowa will likely see clouds and a few snow showers but no accumulation. Thursday will be a chilly day with a bit more sunshine while those winds continue at 1525 mph. Friday will be calmer and nicer overall, but clouds will return to the sky and bring some rains showers later in the evening.
