COLUMBUS JUNCTION An offer from two partners who operate a Columbus Junction commercial tree service may help ease disposal problems at the city’s yard waste disposal site.
Jose Leyva and Juan Espinoza, owners of The Iowa River Tree Service and Snow Removal, told city officials during Wednesday’s city council meeting they are willing to separate brush from larger logs and cut the logs into smaller sizes to keep the disposal site accessible to commercial businesses.
During earlier discussions, the council had reviewed a list of rules presented by council member Tracy Harris that would have prohibited commercial services from using the site.
