BURLINGTON – There are a variety of illegal narcotic substances out on the streets in Burlington but the most common are marijuana and methamphetamine.
Burlington, IA- The Burlington Police Department has announced the arrest of a man on drug charges following a long-term investigation. According to a news release, on Friday, June 2nd, detectives and officers with the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 300 Angular Street, Apt. 10 in Burlington after a nearly year-long narcotics investigation. (Photo: Burlington Police Department) Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force detectives began the investigation after receiving information that the resident of the apartment, 47-year-old Clarence Homer McClinton (above) was trafficking narcotics. During the execution of the search warrant, McClinton was arrested for 3 counts of delivery of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, 3 counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, and sponsoring a gathering where controlled substances are used.
