Suspect arrested in Ionia Township home invasion

IONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. â Police responded to reports of a home invasion in the area of East Stage Road and Pine Street Thursday afternoon in Ionia Township.
Dispatchers say a woman was home when someone began yanking the door handle in an attempt to enter, according to the Ionia County Office of the Sheriff.
Weâre told sheriffâs deputies arrived to discover that the suspect had fled, leaving a number of items behind. The sheriffâs office says the suspect entered the home through a window, with victims claiming the suspect had taken a diamond ring and a laptop computer.
