PM Imran Khan welcomes Amazon operations in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed the decision by e-commerce giant Amazon to add Pakistan to its sellers list, saying the great development would enable the country’s young entrepreneurs to join the export market.
“A great development as Amazon has finally approved that our sellers can export their goods through its system,” the prime minister tweeted on Thursday. Amazon starting operations in Pak will open opportunities for our youth as it will enable a new breed of young men & women entrepreneurs to join the export market.
The premier said the recent development will help create opportunities for our youth to increase the exports for the country.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan termed it a great development as the United States e-commerce giant Amazon has greenlighted to add Pakistan to its sellers list, saying it would enable the country’s young entrepreneurs to join the export market.

Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Colombo a short while ago where he was received by his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa at the airport.
A reception was arranged in honor of Prime Minister Imran Khan besides presenting gun salute and guard of honor.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Advisor on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razzak Dawood and Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold talks with Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaks and his counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa.

ISLAMBAD:
Pakistan and Sri Lanka have agreed to further strengthen their bilateral relations in diverse areas, including trade, investment, science and technology, and culture through enhanced connectivity, leaders of the two South Asian countries announced after their talks here on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, who arrived in Colombo on a two-day official visit, held wide-ranging talks with his Sri Lankan counterpart, Mahinda Rajapaksa, which focused on reinforcing the broad-based and enduring partnership between the two countries.
