Website is helping to alleviate social isolation in communities across the area

AN online lifeline is helping to alleviate social isolation in communities across the area. Inverclyde Live - a YouTube channel set up with funding from the Scottish Government - has been a source of entertainment for people stuck at home during the coronavirus pandemic. The channel is just one of the activities made possible thanks to aa £100,000 wellbeing grant, awarded following a bid by River Clyde Homes and the Inverclyde Community Action Response Group (ICARG). Created by Wemyss Bay blogger Patrick Brady, Inverclyde Live presents videos covering everything from exercise and music, to gardening and history. Belville Community Garden manager Laura Reilly says Inverclyde Live has helped people feel less alone.
