The event was held for just the second time, as crowds formed around the park’s rotunda. The kids’ area was well occupied, Savory said, as people listened to a variety of musical acts, including Prentice, Lachie Hayes and the Roof Raisers, Te Whānau a Kiwa kapa haka group, The Saints All Male Choir and Filth Wizard. Savory said it was a challenging year for everyone, and he had been eager to make sure Invercargill s Christmas in the Park event went ahead.
