Intrepid Travel unveiled a line of premium trips designed to meet an expected post-pandemic rise in demand for more upscale yet still socially responsible travel.
Called Intrepid Premium, the category offers more than 70 trips in 40 countries; the trips feature four- and four-and-half-star accommodations, private transportation, train journeys and more exclusive experiences. The line launches in January 2022. With our aim to become a world leader in sustainable, experience-rich travel, we identified that many of our customers were seeking a higher-end product with purpose, says James Thornton, Intrepid s CEO. As we continue to prepare for a gradual and sustainable recovery, we saw Premium as an opportunity to build a new style of tour that ensures local communities truly benefit from high-value tourism. We wanted to show that a premium product can also deliver on a premium purpose.

TORONTO Intrepid Travel has launched a new range of premium tours to appeal directly to high-end travellers.
Comprising of over 70 new trips in 40 countries, Intrepid Premium features hand-picked accommodations, private transportation, train journeys and an array of signature exclusive experiences. It was developed over the past six months as Intrepid continues to reimagine its business for a post-pandemic world. Departures start in January 2022.
As the world’s largest travel B Corp, responsible travel will be a core focus of Intrepid Premium trips. Most accommodations, which range from an eco-lodge in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to a cave hotel in Cappadocia, are locally owned, with many using renewable and alternative energy sources. A selection of trips will also visit social enterprise projects working to promote gender equality, animal welfare, environmental sustainability and econom
