great reluctance, says if they are found to have done these things, we will have to hold them accountable, as if that would not be his first, immediate and urgent action to take. this is a president who has lost his way. and the demeanor of this president in this press conference, angry and absolutely as intransigent in his viewpoint move along, there s nothing here. certainly on benghazi we saw this. and the internal revenue service as well. now they re saying the senior leadership at the irs, i didn t know anything about it. about hillary clinton, i didn t know anything about the extra security request for benghazi. is anybody minding the shop? seems like if you ve got all these groups being targeted by the irs for extra scrutiny and you have our top diplomat begging for extra security in libya, somebody should be paying
pay their bills and the president is making an early first move on this by saying, i have a very balanced plan. i want to raise taxes, make some serious cuts. your move, republicans. are you going to be that intransigent against any cuts that i put on the table? now surely it s unclear if he can deliver those senate democrats, if he can deliver some of the more progressive democrats in the house as well and that s really what we re going to look to see, is the positioning of this document. certainly it s never going to pass but what the president is doing is making an opening move in a long drama. long drama and months to come. oh, boy. i want to talk about 2016 and hillary clinton. because we re ramping up, at least the media would like to think so because we re seeing mrs. clinton reemerge back on the public stage. this morning she was at the woman world event in new york
authority more intransigent. they can t say we ll talk to the israelis while they re building settlements if the american president has said it s a problem. he left los angeles to join the movement 25 years ago. like many here israelis and palestinians she worries tensions are rising. we feel it here on the roads here, definitely. that there is an upswing in the violence. but i don t think that the settlements are the reason for the tension. the palestinians and the visiting american president disagree but this new school is proof the israeli government at least for now isn t listening. no mention again from the president of the settlement issue in public, wolf. we are sure it came up privately in the conversations between mr. obama and mr. netanyahu. the question is how will the palestinians react. we ll find out when the president heads to ramallah tomorrow. we ll of course have live coverage of that here on cnn throughout the day. john isn jerusalem for us. up next, is congre

he s got about the historians say about a hundred day window, really, to get anything, in terms of his legislative agenda, set for the second term and about a year and a half in total before all the congressional campaigns, mid term campaigns begin. so that s what we re going to see tonight and i think you re going to see in an unusual step go from tonight, right out to the campaign trail because he s dealing with a republican party that he feels is intransigent. and he s going to i think north carolina, atlanta and then on to chicago to try to build a case for his agenda going into that second term and a lot of it, and i suspect what we re going to see tonight, is about the economy, about budget. that s got to be the first thing, because unless he gets the money under control, he can t get to that second term agenda. these are the justices of the supreme court attending. you ll remember back in 2010 there was a big to-do about the congressional democrats
