we have one further to the north. this is where we re seeing south of nashville and into knoxville, where we have very, very strong storms, capable of producing tornadoes. and then further to the north, we re starting to see a next band and line of storms into virginia and it will affect the washington, d.c. area. you can see a very strong storm that brought a severe storm warning to that area earlier, but at least for now, again, the red boxes indicating active tornado warnings. if you are in the path of these storms, stay indoors, away from windows, try to get to the lowest level of your house. these are moving at about 45 miles an hour to the northeast. so it s moving at a fast clip. we will see the storms moving off the east coast by about midnight tonight. we ve seen a lot of history of
