Digital payments and commerce company, Interswitch Group, has partnered another giant in the sector, HF Group to expand digital banking services to include International Money Transfer (IMT). The IMT service will enable people in the diaspora to remit funds seamlessly into any HF account and also provide a simplified channel for them to make their loan/mortgage payments. The partnership is coming on the heels of the company’s diversification efforts into full-service banking.

Interswitch Group, an Africa-focused integrated digital payments and commerce company, has announced its partnership with Kenya’s Credit Bank to launch a multi-currency prepaid card.
The card is a contactless touch and go card that can be used in restaurants, filling stations, stores, or to pay for services anywhere in the world. It can also be used on ATMs to withdraw funds. The card has a Chip and PIN enabled to ensure secure online transactions.
The prepaid card is similar to a debit card but does not require an account attached to it. It is value-based, such that customers can only spend the loaded amount on the card at a time. The card is considered ideal for everyday payments like utility payments or travelling expenses.

Interswitch Group, a digital payment company has collaborated with Kenya’s Credit Bank Plc to launch a multi-currency prepaid card for its African operations, which include Nigeria.
The card is aimed at providing consumers with alternative banking card that allows for safe, secure and seamless electronic transactions.
Country General Manager, Interswitch Kenya, Romana Rajput, stated at the launch that the partnership would be a boost to Interswitch’s issuing business; adding that it was a further proof of the company’s leadership position in the financial services industry on the continent.
