Aruna to book Olympic ticket through ITTF rankings The Punch

Nigeria and Africa table tennis top seed Aruna Quadri is set to book his qualification to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo when the ranking list of qualifiers is released in May by the International Table Tennis Federation.
The table tennis qualifiers for the Olympics started in 2019.
A total of 70 athletes are expected to be part of the competition in the men’s singles, with 61 already booking their places at the Games.
A slot will be contested for at the Oceania Qualification Event in Brisbane, but eight more will make the cut from their current ITTF standings.

THE Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) through its Athletes and Communities Engagement (ACE) program joined the Fiji Table Tennis Association (FTTA) to celebrate World Table Tennis Day on Saturday April 10 at the Sukuna Park in Suva.
The ACE program was invited by the Fiji Table Tennis to be part of the event with the global theme being ‘gender equality and the empowerment of women in media, advertising and communications’.

Respected worldwide as the leading name when classification was required for Para events, Dr Juraj Stefak passed away on Saturday 23rd January following a long illness, eventually losing his battle with cancer.
Born in Trnava, Slovakia on Wednesday 7th February 1951 he was 69 years of age.

He attended his first classification seminar in 1997 and became an international classifier in 2001, head classifier in 2009, serving for more than 20 years; every year he spent over four weeks as a ITTF medical classifier and volunteer to perform the essential duties.
