Union announces tentative agreement with Warrior Met Coal
Updated 10:28 PM;
The United Mine Workers of America say a tentative agreement has been reached between the union and Warrior Met Coal.
The union is not releasing details of the agreement until its members have heard them and held a ratification vote. Contract explanation meetings will be held on Wednesday.
A ratification vote is scheduled for Friday at each local. The results of the vote will be announced as soon as it is certified by the UMWA’s Auditor/Tellers. UMWA International President Cecil Roberts said the strike will end if the union ratifies the agreement, but will resume, along with negotiations, if it is rejected.
