The state of the UK-US trade negotiations is in the spotlight ahead of Mr Biden s inauguration. The US accounted for 15 percent of the UK’s trade in 2018 but as of yet, the two sides have yet to agree a trade deal now Britain has left the EU. While a trade deal is vital for Mr Johnson’s post-Brexit plans, Scott Lucas, professor of International Politics at Birmingham University, told Express.co.uk, a trade deal will not come until 2022 at the earliest.
