Smith march through the streets this afternoon. The group is demanding that the Milwaukee Police officer who fatally shot smith in august be charged in his death. Fox6s Madeline Anderson joins us live at city hall where the protest ended. We just received a letter from Alderman Michael murphy that asks the Milwaukee County District Attorney to release the body camera footage of smiths death. Because its quote clearly a Public Record and it public to view. This comes just a few hours after protesters interrupted a budget meeting going on at city hall so that they could speak directly with the common council. They asked Council Members to stand with them in demanding transparency in smiths death. Youll remember a Milwaukee Police officer fatally shot smith back on august 13th during a traffic stop at park neighborhood for days. And those here say that turmoil continues to some extent today. Case of child abuse out of polk county. A 17yearold girl beaten and stabbed and so malnourished her hair was falling out. Two alternate adults are in jail. Clifton french is live right now. How is that girl doing . Reporter i just spoke with Sheriff Grady Judd who said she is doing this. She has been in the hospital for five days in that time she has gained 11 pounds. Accord her feet and shoulder. Want to go to the mugshots of those being charged. It is 45yearold kris peters and 33yearold melissa peters. She was able to run away and she was hiding in a wooded area 1 mile from her home. She started yelling for help. That is when a young man found her. She had a stab wound on her shoulder. She had scratch marks on her look like cigarette burns. It is unimaginable. That guy tells us that when he found her she was only wearing a jacket and pajama pants. The sheriff says the adults actually put locks on the pantry so that this girl could not get any food inside their home. She also was not

Reporter the very latest is lets go ahead and show you the building right now. The fire is out. The tragedy here at least nine confirmed fatalities possibly more. There more be more people trapped inside the building. They were waiting for a Structural Engineer to go in because of the damage. They have been on the roof of the building. They are waiting to go inside. Again, there may possibly be more victims trapped inside. But we have confirmed and oakland fire has confirmed this is a mass casualty fire. We have done a preliminary search. We are up to 9 known fatalities at this time. Theres still a lot of the building that needs to be searched. Its an accident involving two overturned vehicle, one an overturned truck, one person was trapped in the vehicle. We can see the overturned vehicle and emergency workers right here.
