Good News Pilipinas International Film Festival Manhattan releases Filipino film lineup for Spring The International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) has released its Filipino film lineup for Spring 2021. The IFFM this year is again setting up virtual events for May 28 to 30 due to the uncertainty of travel during this pandemic but is expected to still be as vibrant as a live event. Last year, 22 Filipino films were selected for the festival which donated proceeds to typhoon victims in the Philippines. - Advertisement - The IFFM is known to feature a diverse group of filmmakers which includes Filipino films and filmmakers. As she shared in her vlog, “I started acting when I was six years old, I played the role of a young Snooky Serna. “It wasn’t easy becoming an actress because there are so many struggles, so many challenges. But that didn’t stop me from aiming (to be) what I wanted to be in this industry.” And she fulfilled her dreams. Back in 2005, Aiko won the Best Actress Award at the International Film Festival Manhattan and at the London International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinemas for the movie “Asintado.”
