This fire started behind the rangers station on 206 near quakerbridge road in shamong. Area is now closed. Eyewitness news new jersey reporter cleve bryan is at the the scene cleve. Reporter im at the corner of quaker brown road at route 206, where they are diverting traffic. This is a very busy traffic area. But nobody can get past on 206, just north of here because of the forest fire that they are battling. The call came in around 2 30, the main fire is located just north and east of the ranger station. The initial estimate we have is 100 acres are burning and they do not have any estimate about how much of that is being contained several spot fires, that are also, just east of route 206.
