The Ondo State Government yesterday said attendance at programmes for the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredoluâs second term in office would be restricted to maximum of 500 guests.
The Chairman of the 25-man Inauguration Committee and Deputy Governor-elect, Mr. Lucky Ayedatiwa, stated this while briefing journalists on the activities lined up for the ceremony that would commence on Tuesday, February 22,2021.
The Deputy Governor-elect, said the restriction for the events was due to the ravaging COVID-19 Pandemic.
Ayedatiwa, who was flanked by the former Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Donald Ojogo who is the Chairman of the Media Sub Committee of the ceremony, said all the programmes, would be indoor.

The committee set up for the inauguration of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for the second term in office has declared that all the activities of government for the inauguration would be low-key.
It also said all those that would attend the inauguration ceremony, coming up next week Wednesday, at the International Event Centre, Akure, the state capital would not be more than 500 while 400 people would be allowed to attend the dinner coming up in the evening of the inauguration day.
The Chairman of the 25-man inauguration committee and Deputy Governor-elect, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa, stated this while speaking with journalists on the activities lined up for the ceremony, on Friday.

The inauguration ceremony of the Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu and the Deputy governor-elect, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa will be a low-key affair as the public will be restricted from participating in the events, in view of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Chairman of the Inauguration Committee and the Deputy governor-elect, Mr Ayedatiwa who disclosed this on Friday during a press conference to herald the second term inauguration of Akeredolu, however, said plans are in top gear for the low- key inauguration.
Ayedatiwa said that invitations for the programmes slated for the event will be limited to very few people.

Akeredolu dissolves state executive council

Ahead of his second term inauguration next week Wednesday, governor Rotimi Akeredolu has dissolved the States Executive Council.
Akeredolu announced this Thursday at the valedictory executive council meeting held in Akure, the state capital.
He commended the council members for their support in the last four years and appreciated them for their dedication to duty.
Meanwhile, a public lecture towards the second term inauguration with the theme “Towards A New Nigeria: From Federal Fatherism To A Commonwealth” has been slated for next week Tuesday, February 23.
The event is scheduled to hold at The DOME International Event Centre, Igbatoro Road, Akure, Ondo State by 10 am
