One man is dead and another charges with dui after an accident on 580 in oakland. It happened just after midnight in the westbound lanes near the lakeshore offramp. The california Highway Patrol said a driver careened off a wall and went into a construction crew where caltrans crews were paving the roadway. A subcontractor working there was struck and thrown approximately 100 feet. He died at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured. This morning some encouraging news for residents of middletown who had been evacuated from their homes. They will be allowed back into their homes starting at noon today. Evacuation orders have also been lifted for twin lakes and rancho sendero. Some people have already returned home. And lake county Officials Say they will provide escorts today to areas where evacuation remain so people can check on their animals. This includes

It happened just after 5 30 and that caused a stoppage of service between those stations for about an hour. B. A. R. T. Officials say riders can expect delays of at least 20 minutes. Slowing down. Good evening, im ann notarangelo. And im brian hackney. There appears to be no stopping the king fire. It has burned more than 80,000 acres. The flames are just 10 contained. Pollock pines is where four homes have been destroyed and thousands more are in danger. Reporter this is what was left behind on the king fire. Rubble. Homes that once stood here gone. Cbs13 was at the exact same spot days ago. On saturday, there was nothing left. Just to give you some perspective of how high these flames got, they went all the way up this tree and only at the very top can you still see some green. Crews had to take down hundreds of trees marking the ones they believed are unsafe. And over at the evacuation shelter, evacuees still uncertain of what they will see when they get the chance to go home. You would never believe Something Like that would grow that big that fast. Complaints. Good evening. Im brian hackney. Im ann notarangelo. Kpix 5 reporter sharon chin is in Mountain View. Last year people complained beyond wonderland was beyond loud. Reporter yeah. This year a little bit different. So far the police say so far they have not received any noise complaints here at the festival beyond wonderland, the twoday festival opening its doors this afternoon. It continues until 11 p. M. At the shoreline amphitheater. This year, the city of Mountain View asked the promoter insomniac to make changes after getting 130 noise complaints last year. So they have lowered speakers, reduced the bass down, used smaller stages, and added another person to monitor sound going into the neighborhoods. We worked with the city to come up with mitigation measures. We moved the position of the stages to face the same direction as the amphitheater. So, you know, typically, when theres a show here, noise faces out in the direction of the amphitheater. So we positioned our stag
