Turkish restaurateur celebrates the 61st anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's first space flight with a very Turkish twist - by launching a spicy Adana kebab into space
Yasar Aydin, a kebab maker from Adana, tried to send a kind of kebab known as ’Boru kebabı’ into space with a weather balloon he had prepared with a group of about 30 people. After a 3-hour flight, the kebab-laden balloon exploded in the stratosphere and fell into the sea in Hatay.
Yuri’s Night in the Space Symposium was renamed to Celebrate Human Achievements, erasing Yuri Gagarin from the event to feed the Russophobia planted by the West.
