Aberdeen pupils claim top in energy industry contest © Supplied by Big Partnership CNOOC International’s Buzzard platform, which provided inspiration for the competition. A group of Aberdeen school pupils have won a prestigious prize at an energy industry competition. The youngsters from Robert Gordon’s College claimed the top spot at TechFest’s digital adaptation of its STEM in the Installation project. The team, known as RGC Energy, consisted of Richard Varghese, Craig Gilchrist, Matthew Seward, Urquhart Dyce, Sideeq Remi-Shodipo, Robert Kennedy and Innes Cameron.  They are all in sixth-year. The project focused on transitioning to reduce carbon emissions as much as possible, as part of a global movement towards net zero.
