Michael Stacey talks about his fascination with the early Renaissance, the qualities that make aluminium ideal for use in applications within architecture and the built environment – and how the material can assist in advancing transformational action that will protect the living conditions for generations to come.
As an international aluminium sustainability expert, Professor Michael Stacey led the International Aluminium Institute’s ‘Towards Sustainable Cities’ research program and wrote a series of accompanying publications. He has also developed prefabricated cladding and façade systems, including the one used by architect Philip Cox on the Melbourne Tennis Centre.
