Prominent supporters of Princess Latifa called on President Joe Biden Wednesday to pressure the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for her release. Latifa, the 35-year-old daughter of UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said she has been held hostage by her father in a villa after she attempted to flee the country in 2018, according to recently released video footage.
