New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has been accused of three separate instances of sexual harassment. Charlotte Bennett and Lindsey Boylan came forward first and Anna Ruch followed.

Bennet, a former executive assistant and health policy adviser in Cuomo’s administration until November 2020, told the New York Times that Cuomo pried into her sex life, asking if she had ever had sex with older men and if she ever had monogamous relationships. The 25-year-old told the Times that the incidents occurred late spring of 2020. “I understood that the governor wanted to sleep with me,” she told the Times.
ALBANY â An increasing number of state lawmakers and political leaders took sides Tuesday as officials debate Gov. Andrew Cuomoâs resignation and the need for due process after a third woman accused the governor of sexual harassment.
On Monday night, The New York Times reported 33-year-old Anna Ruchâs recount of an incident after meeting the governor at a Manhattan wedding in 2019. She alleges the governor held her face after they were introduced and asked if he could kiss her. Ruch said Cuomo had made her feel uncomfortable when he put his hand on her bare lower back.
Ruch is the third woman to publicly accuse the governor of sexual harassment or share an account of intrusive sexual advancements.
Cuomo Deserves Due Process Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations: Sen. Graham
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) defended New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s right to due process, saying he believes all sexual assault allegations should be treated the same, whether toward Democrats or Republicans.
Graham cited the treatment of conservative Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh by Senate Democrats during his confirmation hearing.
“Well, here’s what I would tell my Democratic colleagues to do: follow the Republican model. We had a Republican nominee for the Supreme Court to be accused of something, the day before we voted, the moment before we voted. We could have gone ahead saying this was too late, you sat on it, you didn’t tell us, this is not fair. [Instead] we stopped the entire damn process,” Graham told Sean Hannity of Fox News.

Two former staffers accused Cuomo of unwanted sexual advances over the weekend.
On Friday, Lindsey Boylan said that Cuomo made unwanted sexual advances toward her. She resigned in 2018 after the governor kissed her on the lips without her consent. On Saturday, Charlotte Bennett said that Cuomo asked her inappropriate questions and also made unwanted sexual advances toward her.
On Monday, another woman, Anna Ruch, told The New York Times that she met Cuomo at a wedding in September 2019. He allegedly placed a hand on her bare lower back and called her aggressive when she removed it. Ruch said Cuomo then placed his hands on her cheeks and asked if he could kiss her.
