Indian, British prime ministers hold virtual summit, sign agreements Xinhua 05 May 2021, 02:05 GMT+10 NEW DELHI, May 4 (Xinhua) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Boris Johnson on Tuesday held a virtual summit and signed nine agreements, according to the Ministry of External Affairs of India. The agreements were signed on areas including trade, innovation, digital technology, telecommunication, customs cooperation, medical products regulation, and pharmaceutical cooperation. During the virtual summit, Roadmap 2030 was adopted to elevate bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership . According to an official statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Roadmap 2030 will pave the way for a deeper and stronger engagement over the next 10 years in the key areas of people-to-people contacts, trade and economy, defence and security, climate action and health.
