The mood was celebratory, and rightly so. The stadium news is great of course – one of the team s last big hurdles was that no one knew for sure if Q2 was going to get to have a full game-day experience, and now we do – but it seemed like more than that as well: a watershed moment, really, when life itself seemed to be largely back to normal. Austin-Travis County Public Health is loosening mask rules a bit. The health authority announced today those who are fully vaccinated against coronavirus do not have to have their faces covered indoors if there s less than 500 people inside a building. Masks are still required at outdoor events with more than 2,500 people in attendance. Interim Health Authority Dr. Mark Escott is hoping businesses will still require face coverings through at least mid-June.
