Intergenerational Book Club to discuss  How to Be an Antiracist

Tuesday, May 18, 2021 - 2:30pm On Tuesday, May 18 at 2:30 p.m., the Thomaston Public Library Intergenerational Book Club will meet over Zoom to discuss  How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi.     “Ibram X. Kendi s concept of antiracism reenergizes and reshapes the conversation about racial justice in America – but even more fundamentally, points us toward liberating new ways of thinking about ourselves and each other. In  How to be an Antiracist, Kendi asks us to think about what an antiracist society might look like, and how we can play an active role in building it.   On the third Tuesday of every month, the Intergenerational Book Club, a group of men and women of all ages from Thomaston and from surrounding communities, comes together to share their opinions and ideas about the book selection. Titles include fiction, biography and other non-fiction, Maine authors and subjects, adult and young adult levels. All are welcome to join.
