The Serpico team was created 12 years ago as part of a collaborative project between Institut Curie, the CNRS and Inria. It develops innovative methods for processing microscope images and its algorithms are used by biologists for cancer research, among other purposes. In 2023, the team is restructuring. It is changing its name slightly to Sairpico and is joining the chemical biology unit at Institut Curie. Its team will also be reinforced by researchers from Inserm to explore a new imaging method for biology: polarised optical microscopy.
