U S EPA, FDA and USDA Renew Commitment to Food Waste Reduction

Getty Images Dec 30, 2020 SILVER SPRING, Md. - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced the renewal of the joint agency formal agreement including the  Winning on Reducing Food Waste Initiative. The agreement reaffirms the agencies commitment to improve coordination and communication efforts to better educate Americans on the impacts and importance of reducing food loss and waste. Food loss and waste negatively impact food security, the economy, communities, and the environment.  Since the Trump Administration launched the  Winning on Reducing Food Waste Initiative, the collaborative effort has achieved great success.
