Lawsuit filed against Bassnectar for sex trafficking, child pornography, sexual abuse

A complaint was filed on Friday on behalf of two women, Fox News can confirm. The filing accuses the musician born Lorin Ashton of sex trafficking, child pornography and  sexual abuse. Also named as defendants were companies Amorphous Music Inc., Bassnectar Touring Inc., Interactive Giving Fund, Red Light Management and C3 Presents LLC. The suit claims that Ashton s positive public image is nothing more than a veil to mask his sinister desires and actions and a means to use his power and influence to groom and ultimately sexually victimize underage girls. In the legal documents, the musician was accused of using social media, live shows and more in order to gain young girls trust and would require them to contact him through secretive messaging apps . so that he could groom them for eventual sex acts, get them to send him sexually explicit photographs and further exploit them for his own gratification.

Bassnectar s Lawyer Responds to Claims, Details from Court Docs Surface

Yesterday, news broke that Lorin Ashton, aka Bassnectar, has been hit with a lawsuit related to allegations of sexual abuse that surfaced last year. The plaintiffs, Rachel Ramsbottom and Alexis Bowling, say they were sexually abused as minors by Bassnectar. The lawsuit also asserts Bassnectar engaged in sex trafficking and possessing child pornography. Today, Bassnectar’s lawyer Mitchell Schuster, said to  TMZ, “These outrageous claims which were clearly designed for the media, rather than for the courts are completely without merit, and we eagerly look forward to proving so.” Court documents obtained by TMZ say Bassnectar first came in contact with the two young women on social media and groomed Rachel and Alexis into having sexual relationships with him when they were minors.

The suit names several other entities affiliated with Ashton (Amorphous Music, Bassnectar Touring, Redlight Management, C3 Presents, and Interactive Giving Fund) as co-defendants also accused of human trafficking.
