Newly released emails reveal that lawyers and lobbyists for mining companies, developers and the agriculture industry had a hand behind the scenes in shaping Arizona’s newly adopted law on clean-water rules for rivers and streams.  The emails show the involvement of these influential groups went beyond their public endorsements of the legislation. Their lawyers and lobbyists were given access to offer input while the final legislation was being drafted, and the emails show they suggested specific language, offered “wordsmithing” tweaks and requested significant changes that state officials incorporated into the bill.

The current legislation, introduced by House Natural Resources Chairman Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) would repeal Section 3003 of the NDAA for fiscal year 2015 that authorized the Southeastern Arizona Land Exchange between foreign-owned Resolution Copper Company and the Tonto National Forest. Yahaya Bello of Kogi to contest the 2023 Presidential election. This is contained in a statement issued by the Secretary of the group, Jabir Maiturare, on Saturday in Kaduna. Maiturare said that ITAN, which comprised different tribes and religions drawn from all parts of the country, had x-rayed many aspiring candidates who showed interests either publicly or otherwise in joining the 2023 presidential race. “After our consultation and review of personalities who think they have what it takes to lead the country, we resolved to advocate for Bello, who is a youth and capable of taking Nigeria to the promised land,’’ Maiturare stated.
