enthusiastic about voting this year? well, it is from 53 to 42% for republicans and 30% to 27% for democrats. the republicans have a 33% advantage over this. and the democrats are saying there is time, and there is time, but wolf n 2006 and 2008, the democrats had numbers just like that saying they had the intensity gap, and that by far, and by huge margins the democrats were more enthused and intense about voting and getting involved in the campaigns, but republicans have it this year, and there is a big debate in this town about whether the cake is baked. most people who have done this a long time will tell you, yes, five or six or eight races around the margins, but largely, the cake is baked. and limited number of charismatic and person that the president is to get the base out, and the enthusiasm rising is not going to be easy. no, it is not doing to be easy and the president is not at this moment his best salesmen. there are areas they don t want to take him into, and
actually ahead. at this point you re not looking at that number. nobody should be looking at registered voters. likely voters like with this poll, shows the intensity gap. if everybody voted, it would be one thing. the pathetic thing is it takes jon stewart and stephen colbert to make a rally. no one seems to get the sen thrifts out there. it takes two tv comics in a sense to have everybody yelling. pennsylvania, open seat in pennsylvania, pat tomb many leads democrat joe sestak 49-44. five points. that is something. you say democratic pollsters are keeping a poker face right now. looking at these numbers in the blue states, mark, have to be very nervous. they re very nervous. their hope remains to spend the money they have. in a lot of races democrats are sitting on money to try to demonized these republicans and
i would add rubio and toomi to that list as well. i stopped on sharron angle for a reason because we have new polling at cnn that, a, shows you democrats can call them extreme, sharron angle is still very competitive, and, b, this gives you a look at the intensity gap. republicans have more intensity. look at these numbers. because this spells it out for you. if you poll registered voters, in nevada this is what you get. harry reid. sharron angle. this is all registered voters. this one s backwards. let me look at it right here. reid s 42%. angle, 34%. reid with a 12-point lead among registered voters there. look at this among likely voters. dead heat. sharron angle, 42%. harry reid, 41%. if you re the democrat, roland martin, you ve got a problem. you ve got a huge problem because also what is the consistent message? you can paint sharron angle, you
