Two police officers arrested in Soweto for stolen goods
The two police officers were recently caught off-loading suspected stolen property from a state vehicle in Soweto and arrested.
STOLEN GOODS WERE FOUND IN THE POSSESSION OF THE TWO OFFICERS
Colonel Brenda Muridili, the spokesperson of NatJOINTS, police received information from the Intelligence Coordinating Committee.
“This led to the arrest of two on-duty Reservist Constables found in possession of property alleged to have been stolen during the incidents of looting of businesses in Soweto.
“It is further alleged that the two suspects were found off-loading suspected stolen property from a state vehicle.”

Social media reacts to Ramaphosaâs call for looting, anarchy to stop

PRESIDENT Cyril Ramaphosaâs address to the nation has left many South Africans disappointed, with some saying he did not share a concrete plan on how to deal with the ongoing looting.
Sporadic looting in parts of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal has caused damage amounting to millions of rands and has resulted in thousands of retail workers facing a dark cloud of uncertainty.
Ramaphosa called for the looting and anarchy in KZN and Gauteng to stop.
He also said from tomorrow there would be a high visibility of police and army personnel.
