Plans for the new Kay Group HQ in Grimshaw Park AN expanding petrol station company has been given the green light to create a new headquarters in Blackburn. The Kay Group Ltd will be investing millions of pounds to demolish its base at Grimshaw Park Service station and replace it with a three-storey building and a new fuel forecourt. The group currently has its headquarters on the upper floor of the retail unit next to the petrol and diesel pumps on the corner with Haslingden Road. The business was founded by Ken Kay in1972 at Intack Service Station, and now employs 240 people and operates 19 24-hour petrol stations, all with convenience stores and car washes, serving 200,000 customers a week.
