SCV Chamber To Host ‘State Of The County’ At Six Flags Magic Mountain
The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce (SCV Chamber) has announced the return of its annual “State of the County event,” to be held in person at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
The SCV Chamber and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s office have been working to create a dynamic event to celebrate the reopening of the economy, which is scheduled to include remarks by the Supervisor and full access to rides at Six Flags Magic Mountain, according to organizers.
“I am thrilled to be back with you in person to present my annual State of the County address, especially after what our community, our County and the world experienced this past year,” said LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger. “This year I look forward to celebrating what is ahead and talking about our bright future together. Please join me at Six Flags Magic Mountain to have some fun and enjoy the roller coasters together.”

A California judge was asking jurors to sit in socially distanced seats when an online voice could be heard on the courtroom speakers. Using the F-word, the person referred to the judge as an “idiot.”
“Well, I’m sorry you think I’m an idiot, but I really think you ought to mute your microphone before you say that,” replied Judge Roberta Hayashi of the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. “And I would appreciate it if you would not use any obscenities in the courtroom, whether you’re remote or not remote. That kind of language is not acceptable.”
