By: Gloriah• The first team of scientists from the UWI Seismic Research Centre (SRC), charged with the responsibility of commencing work on monitoring activity at the La Soufriere volcano, left the state on Wednesday 27th January.  The team, led by Geologist Professor Richard Robertson, also comprised Instrumentation Engineer Lloyd Lynch and Engineering Technician Ian Juman.    A second three-member team arrived that very day to continue the work started.  It comprised Scientist Dr. Michal Camejo-Harry; Techician Garth Mannette; and Project Manager of the Volcano Ready Project, Monique Johnson-Lynch.

Not least among those contributing to the effort is Drone Pilot Rommel De Freitas.  He strengthens and supports the work of a team of scientists from the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (SRC), St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. That team is led by Professor Richard Robertson, Geologist attached to the SRU, and includes Instrumentation Engineer Lloyd Lynch, and Engineering Technician Ian Juman.

The team, comprising Geologist Prof. Richard Robertson, Instrumentation Engineer Lloyd Lynch and Engineering Technician Ian Juman arrived from Trinidad on board a Regional Security System (RSS) aircraft.
