Chandigarh: A study conducted by Dr. HSJ Institute of Dental Science and Hospital, Punjab University in collaboration with Institute of Microbial Technology (CSIR)- Structural Biology Laboratory have claimed that one of the most routinely used mouth rinses, Chlorhexidine could kill 99.9% of SARS CoV2 virus within 30 seconds of being exposed to it in a laboratory.
It must be mentioned that Chlorhexidine gluconate is a germicidal mouthwash that reduces bacteria in the mouth.
